My musical influences have been wonderfully eclectic, beginning with the sounds of the big bands and smooth voiced crooners of the 30's, 40’s and 50’s, which spun off my dad’s much loved stereo. Here I also heard the music of far off lands and cultures. Singing in school and community choirs, I developed a love of and an ear for vocal harmonies. The choral repertoire included works by Vivaldi and Bach, which helped establish the roots for an ongoing love of music from the European Baroque Era (1600 – 1750). The bands of the British invasion and the American folk music revival of the 1960’s followed. In my junior year of high school, I co-founded the high school’s “Folk Music Club” and the rock band “Billy & the Wildcats” (I played bass, percussion and sang). From there to here and onward.
